LONELINESS

All of us would have experienced loneliness at some point or another in our lives. Regardless of the situation that caused us to enter into the state of loneliness, each of us can respond this in two ways – healthily or destructively.

The way we choose to approach loneliness can make all the difference. We can either choose to acknowledge it and allow it to form our inner strength and self-awareness, or allow it to bring us down the slippery slope of isolation. These are a few steps to develop self-awareness –

1. Be kind and patient to yourself.
2. Discover who you are and what you want out of your life. Make your own decisions and not based on other people’s perception.
3. Set goals in motion and fulfill your dreams.
4. Go about your life with purpose and passion.
5. Lastly, walk away from people who hurt you or situations which makes you sad.

These are all positive steps towards a mentally healthier life.
