Let go and Let God

Let Go and Let God

Do you have days which you cannot see the forest from the trees? When you feel as if you are so backed up to a corner that there is just no way out of a situation? It is the lowest that you have ever felt and that there is just nothing that you can do about it. Everyone goes through this feeling some time in their lives. Trust me, I have been around that block….many times. What I have learned is that there is nothing that you can do but to let it run its course. Nothing lasts forever, the good or the bad.

You can rant and rave about it, curse until you are blue in the face or you can continue to keep the faith and “let go and let God.” “What man proposes, God disposes” is exactly what it is. Most times, we, as human beings, would like to control every given situation in our lives but sometimes we just cannot because either it is a situation with another person (your spouse, friend or a co-worker) you cannot control what the other person is thinking or will be doing. So, the best course of action will be letting go and let God take over. God is not asking you to figure it out, He’s asking you to trust that He already has. We all struggle. We all have those days. But what happens when you seem to be stuck at the crossroads? You let go to God. You have to believe. You have to have faith that things will get better. So BREATHE. Know that you are not alone and that there are many others like you too. Sit down and write a journal, start a blog!  Visit an old friend, listen to your favorite music. You have to collect yourself and realize that life has its highs and lows and you have to ride with it. You are not alone, so BREATHE!!

We may not understand the struggles of life, but maybe one day they will all make sense to us.  Maybe one day you will look back and be thankful for the struggles. Because they made you stronger. Wiser. They made you someone who is able to face adversity and look it straight in the eye.

It made you tough. The challenges have made you who you are. It does not define you. It shapes the person that you will be when you overcome them. Calm the voices in your head. Sit alone in silence. Recognize all the good in your life, as hard as it seems.

And trust His timing.

One day you’ll look back on this period in your life and be thankful.

Sometimes the struggles are what make us stronger, wiser, more emphathetic to others and most of all, fill us with a great sense of gratitude. For we are the overcomers. We are the winners of our lives. Chose to be a winner.

So for now, keep the faith. Let go and Let God… #letgoletgod
